Three health care needs of the family are :-

- Deficient knowledge regarding disease condition = patients family members does not have knowledge regarding the disease and about the treatment being provided so the nurses must provide information regarding the disease condition and the treatment options available and what are being provided to the patient . It will help in reducing their anxiety.

- Psychological and emotional support = family members need psychological and emotional support as one of their member is hospitalized which might have caused disturbance in the family depending upon the function of the patient in the family . They must be referred for counseling , relaxation therapy and other rehabilitation services until patient is recovered and should include them in patient care to reduce anxiety and will provide a clear cut view of patients health status .

- Post hospitalisation care and rehabilitation services = family members needed to be taught about the home care management of patients like what diet must be included ,how patient should be transferred from bed to chair ,what are the warning signs and symptoms , when to reach the hospital whom should be consulted for rehabilitation care like physiotherapy , etc .
