Research disasters that occur within the US and define some of the characteristics, how these disasters are predicted or tracked, and how to best prepare for when the event will occur. State also when the disasters might be expected. Last, list the types of items and supplies a family should have to prepare for disaster.

types of disaster:
Drought:
It is a dry weather last for more days and months..crops and agricultural work will get affected due to severe drought..To avoid such situation conserving water is more important..Due to delay rainy season it can happen..Drought condition increase the risk of wildfire and landslides...When the season starts before only we have to make precaution to save water..peoples must be ready preseving foods and water.
Earth quake:
It is sudden and rapid shaking of the earth..it can happen anytime of year,day or night..nearly 45 states are under risk in U.S..We have to be ready with aware about forecost news..Make precautions and talk to family about earth quake and shift them to someother places..Pick safeplaces in schools,office,and house.stay indoor when earthquake happen and protect your head by covering this and avoid running around...Inform emergency disaster helpline immediately.
Fire:
Fire can happen in home,workplace and anywhere due to electrical and gas leakage..In u.s nearly 25% of death and injuries happening due to this reason..Wildfire will happen when there is lightning or accidents often go unnoticed at first..It spread quickly due to breeze espcially in forest,rural area,remote mountain sites etc..When fire happened that time people must use emergency equiments possible and run to safe area..Call for emergency..when people got affected never wash or pour water over them..cover them thick blanket ot cloth..dont use nylon clothes..Shift the patient to hospital as soon as possible..To avoid such events electrical wires and equipments should be secured safely..At home check for gas leakage,when not in use off the gas always..
Floods:
Floods are important and common hazard in the U.S..it happens due to hurricanes and tropical storms,failed dams or levees and flash floods due to more rainfall..coastal aeas are always under risk during hurricane season..There will be lot of destruction due to flood in house,workplace,pathways,bridge etc..peolpe must protect themselves to higher areas, and try to go for safe places until the places get cleared completely..Governement and disaster management will protect and help for those people in emergency situation..
