The corona virus is a family of viruses that can cause a range of illness in humans including common cold and more severe forms like SARS and MERS which are life threatening.
Introduction
corona virus is named after its shape which takes the form of a crown with protrusions around it and hence is known as corona virus.The recent outbreak of corona virus is believed to have occurred in a market for illegal wildlife in the central Chinese city of wuhan.chinese health authorities and the WHO are investigating the outbreak of the recent corona virus

The global spread of corona virus means that many people will now need to take certain action steps to help reduce its transmission.people can take the following everyday actions to help protect themselves and others from these illness
. handwashing
Regular handwashing is one of the main ways to help prevent transmission of corona virus.
People should use plenty of soap and water to wash their hands for atleast 20 seconds,espe especi after:
.travelling on public transport
.being in a public place
.coughing
.sneezing
.blowing their nose
Washing the hands with soap or hand sanitizer helps kill any viruses on the hands that people may have come into contact with.
.Avoiding touching the face
People should avoid touching their eyes,nose,and mouth with their hands,especially if they are unwashed.these can help limit the spread of germs and reduce the likelihood of getting sick.if a person then touches their face ,viruses can transfer to the eyes ,nose,or mouth and enter the body.
.limiting contact with others
People should take care to avoid coming into close contact with others-especially those who are older,unwe un or have symptoms of the virus.The center's for disease control and prevention (CDC) recommend staying 6 feet away from anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
This is especially important for people at higher risk of getting seriously ill from covid-19,such as older adults and people with the following underlying health conditions.

People at higher risk may also need to take extra precautions ,such as self isolating by staying at home.

If a person has mild symptoms of covid -19,they can self isolate by staying at home and avoiding contact with others.

Anyone with a fever,cough,or difficulty breathing in an area with a covid -19 outbreak should seek medical advice
Corona virus can also spread from contact with infected surfaces or objects.for example ....wearing a mask helps remind you not to touch your face and can further help reduce spread of virus.
You can reduce your chances of being infected or spreading covid -19 by taking some simple precautions
.Avoid going to crowded places.why?
Where people come together in crowds,you are more likely to come into close contact with some one that has covid 19 and it is more difficult to maintain physical distance of 1 metre.
Social distancing strategies aim to reduce contact of infected persons with large groups by closing schools and workplaces,restricting travel,and cancelling large public gatherings.
Conclusion
According to world health organization there are no vaccines nor antiviral treatments for covid- 19,on May 2020,the United States gave emergency use Authorization to the antiviral remdesivir for people hospitalized with severe covid-19.management involves the treatment of symptoms, supportive care,isolation,and experimental measures.The world health organisation declared the covid19 out break a public health emergency of international concern on 30 January 2020.By proper preventive measures we can reduce the risk of this pandemic to an extend.
