Answer 2. Medicare refers to the medical care of insurers who have insured themselves or other by paying a regular premium. Sometimes such medicare facilities are also provided by the government or companies. Cultural values refer to the beliwfs of a particular place or society upon which their ideals and principals are based. And Yes medicare is canada’s cultural value. Canada has not just one but atleast 13 medicare plans for the people. Following are some reasons for medicare being a cultural value in canada:-

• According to the Canada Heath Act the medical services provided by the respective public authority should provide services on a non profit basis.

• Canadian policies believe that medical services should be available to everybody and assessable to everyone on the basis of need and not the will or ability to pay.

• Canada believes to be open, respectful, helpful and be there for each other. These are some of the core values of canada. And thus it procided healthcare to all irrespective of their paying capacity.

• Medicare is it’s cultural value because canadian government wants it’s citizens to be healthy and live a happy life. They beleive that this way the people can be the most productive and will contribute better to the economy.
