1) Describe potential influences of socioeconomic status, geographic location and family size on the development of lifestyle related diseases. What are your thoughts about lifestyle habits that enhance health and longevity? How important are these to you and what obstacles keep you from adhering to these habits?

2) In your experience with personal fitness programs throughout the years, what factors have motivated you and helped you the most to stay with a program? What factors have kept you from being physically active, and what can you do to change these factors?

3) Ways you stay safe in your community.

4) Do you have any family members or know anyone with heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, cancer? Can you identify lifestyle or environmental factors that possibly contribute to the disease? What are you doing to change the family health lineage?

a. Povery, poor living condition, Poor income- all these can lead to a number of lifestyle related diseases.All these conditions increase stress rates leading to unhealthy lifestyles.

When there is poverty and poor income to feed the stomach, people eat from street vendors whichis very much unhealthy leading to cardiac diseases, diabetics etc

Poor living conditions lead to many infections and epidemic disease like water borne as well as food borne .

Increase family size in poorly maintained atmosphere leads to health risks in many ways.Eg: Respiratory diseases etc.

b. Some of my thought on life style habits that enhance health and longivity are:

  • Avoid oily and spicy foods, eat healthy diet which has all balanced diet.
  • Avoid smoking, alcoholism and other habits like tobacco chewing.
  • Enhance exercise habbit
  • Always have diverstional theraphy such as reading productive books, listening to music etc.
  • Indulge life in a fruitful manner.

c. All the above points are very important.Sometimes laziness keeps us from not adhering to the important steps.

a. The thought of staying healthy has motivated me in keeping the personal fitness programm.

b. Factors that has kept me active are :

  • Adequate exercise
  • Adequate rest
  • Balanced diet.
  • Routine health checkup which helps to know our faults.

3) Ways you stay safe in your community

  • Make our community more environment friendly.
  • If there is any contaminated water resource, identify and clean it.
  • Reduce dumping of waste in the near locality
  • Plant enough trees in the surrounding
  • Grow as much as vegetable and fruit plants
  • Volunteer ourselves to clean up the community regularly

b. Can you identify lifestyle or environmental factors that possibly contribute to the disease?

c. What are you doing to change the family health lineage?

a. Yes, there are older people in our family that suffers from HTN and diabetes.

b.Intake of more salt and sugar content is the factor that leads to these diseases.Stress level also is a factor contributing.

c. Grow our younger generation in a healthy way by giving proper health education to them about the benefits of good health and how to maintain it.
