Globalisation is a process of interaction and integration among people, companies and governments world wide. It is a irreversible process and has accelerated very rapidly. Though it has many positives it possess a great threat to the global health. Globalisation also has strong connections with problems like climate change and also has connections with nutrition transitions ie.. under nutrition or overnutrition, obeisity etc
Globalisation may have given enoromous profit to the economy but possessed a great threat to health. One example for it isthe trade of alcohol, tobacco etc
Increase trade of alcohol causing the large consumption of it by the people leads to serious health problems like liver cirrhosis, some cancers. Alcohol consumption has also been reasons to violences.
Increased trade of tobacco has lead to increase in mortality as it cause lung cancer. Not only the person who smokes is affected but a passive smoker also faces serious health problems.
Globalisation has a heavy impact in increasing the non communicable diseases like diabetes, CVD, obiesity, cancers. These are due to the lifestyle changes that has been brought in by globalisation. This has been due to increase in globaĺ food trade and due to their advertisements etc that the people choose to have high calorie sugar rich food and sedentary life stale along with bevereages amd tobacco.. all these effecting health adversly.
