Hospice care is something that is misunderstood and underutilized due to lack of awareness of people. Hospice is a kind of care focuses on the quality of life for patients and their caregivers who are experiencing an advanced life limiting illness. It provide compassionate care for people in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.

One of the fact that most are unaware of hospice is hospice care can occur at home. So in this fact we can say that hospice is not always a place or institution but a philosophy of care that involves the patient's entire support system. Patients are cared for in their home or place they call home, surrounded by people and things they love. The care team come to home with everything the patient need to be cared and covered under hospice care. In this case if patients condition needs inpatient care they are cared in short-term management centers, in case of uncontrolled symptoms that cannot be managed at home.
