True or false; In normative ethics an action is right if it tends to promote happiness and wrong if it tends to produce the reverse of happiness not just the happiness of the performer of the action but also that of everyone affected by it.

Under normative ethics, it is focused on what is morally right and what is morally wrong. It is concerned with actions/ principles that has impact in the lives of people. Under it, there lies a branch of utilitarianism, which focus on the actions having imoact on happines. It states that any action which promotes happiness is a good action , however if any action is likely to produce no happiness or may have ill affects on the lives of people or society is not a good action. Hence such negative actions must not be undertaken as it emnates reversal of happiness.
