Gender equality is a hot topic. So the IT profession, where a large number of workers are men, is easy to overlook without gender bias. These biases can occur in different ways and ways. But I have a side, remember this is a form of gender bias and prejudice, non-discrimination, and in business. That being said, especially if you're part of a male-dominated profession there, what biases for us not? Although it's not much of a challenge, it's the kind of wondering how often you go unnoticed.

I am able to find out what kind of gender bias in the workplace. In these cases, they go from the simple to the complex, emergent, and with all their own, not in order to find the solution here. But getting started is often the central dialogue in warfare.

1, odd pay;
This is obvious, but it is a challenge to solve. Why? Because the question of pay equity for all types of ships passes through the United States is in command. In fact, this is often a hot topic for politicians. The good news is that the result will be. If you hire engineers and / or paid officials, you do not base their gender, but experience and performance. Gender pay now allows you to play a role, it will become part of the problem.

2: Interview questions
This is more specific. See simply by asking: apply differently? Do you ask questions that women "have children"? or "the child's intention to do?" I looked for a business to have a conversation. Questions about home and family life are off limits, and in some cases, you need to fear. A man, or a woman, in counseling, or children, does not affect, and not a man more than his abilities. If you're hired, it came to you after your birth, when you're around, take care of it. Do not respond to delayed firing or potential use hiring to the idea that they may require maternity leave.

3: decrease services
When unloading server boxes from the truck if the woman wants to help the family. Do you think he came here and you too? I wonder how to perform the deadlift duel in women than in men. This inequality is a more subtle type of gender bias that has been shown to be willingly accepted. The situation is the same standard functions. A man and a woman are equal in the two helpers pay what is owed, perhaps missing. Time.

4: bathrooms
At this point what I have found is usually less than subtle. I worked in a couple of IT related services, it is clear that most of the men are developers. As I hear from them, I can give you all the foot: go down the stairs and out of the bathroom. I have really worked, for the place, where they are, for the bathrooms, which portray horrible, and I enter, I will do it in the participation of another company in the block of the facilities. Bathroom, as the first state to reach. Second, if they don't ... I didn't expect the women to get ready to clean them! And the carpenters, and the administrators who are theirs, whether they are their maids who were mothers.
