The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only global international organisations dealing with the rules of trade between nations.with the goal to ensure that trade flows as smoothly and predictably as possible.In response to this the WTO may say that free trade hs been an important engine of growth for developing countries. Although there may be some short term pain, it is worth it in the long run.

1.However, the WTO has often been criticised for trade rules which are still unfavourable towards developing countries. Many developed countries went through aperiod of tariff protection;this enabled them to protet new emerging domestic industries.
