Critics argue that the World Trade Organization (WTO) single-mindedly promotes trade at the expense of the environment. Therefore, trade – or more broadly, globalization – needs to slow down.
Can we encourage trade and, at the same time, protect the environment? How?
ANSWER:
=> Relationship between trade and environment:
When it comes to the global trade it is entirely dependent upon the energy. So, the global trade must be done by keeping in mind about the energy consumption and the pollution of the environment as both trade and the environment are anyway related with each other.
--> Generally, for the global trade, the transportation is necessary and that transportation must depend upon the consumption of any of the sources of the energy.
--> Inorder to provide food and water required for the global trade, more resources are used such as human, environmental and several other materials.
Finally, what i want to say is global trade affects the environment also. The WTO must encourage free trade by keeping in mind of the conservation of the resources and the protection for the environment too.
--> yes, we can encourage the trade by protecting the environment also by following some preventive measures in order to reduce the pollution that is occured by the several means to the environment. we must take care about the environment because it will enhance the global trade too.
