If you could build your own personal computer, what components would you purchase? Put together a list of the components you would use to create it, including a computer case, motherboard, CPU, hard disk, RAM, and DVD drive. How can you be sure they are all compatible with each other? How much would it cost? How does this compare to a similar computer purchased from a vendor such as Dell, HP or Apple?
Produce a Word document: outlining the components you would choose for a PC of your own design. Limit your cost to $1500. at the end write a paragraph summary explain why this would be better or worst than purchasing from Dell, HP or Apple etc.
what components would you purchase?
Like Every user pc (personal computer) parts should be according to the taste of user and the purpose of computer for specific user, as I want to build a gaming computer but like every computer my computer will have:
Now, let’s walk you through each one.
Processor (CPU):
The processor, or Central Processing Unit, is essentially the “brain” of your computer. It is the second most-impactful component on gaming performance, just behind the GPU, and is the most important component for content creation. In some games, the CPU may actually be more important for getting high FPS!
The three most important things to know about a processor are its clock speed, cores, and threads, because Its gaming pc.
So as per as my taste and according to my need and budget I have selected:
Intel Core i5-9400 9th Generation Processor
Price: 250$
Company(Vendor): Intel
Motherboard (MOBO)
So we have picked CPU. Now, we need a compatible motherboard.
The main difference between a low-end motherboard and a high-end one is overclocking capabilities. To overclock your CPU:
With Intel CPUs, i need both a K-series CPU and a Z-series motherboard.
With AMD CPUs, we need B- or X-series motherboards. All modern AMD processors are overclockable.
Once we’ve decided whether we want overclocking or not, it’s time to decide your MOBO and corresponding case size: ATX, MATX, or ITX? (There are other sizes, though.)
Things like USB ports don’t tend to change between sizes, but the smaller you go (ATX being biggest, ITX being smallest), the less RAM and PCIe slots you have. For budget builds, we recommend the happy medium of MATX- ATX and ITX tend to be more expensive, especially when you add in the cost of a compatible case.
So I choose:
Asus-H81M-K Signature Motherboard
Price: 50$
Graphic Card (GPU)
The GPU, or Graphics Processing Unit, will be the component that impacts my gaming performance the greatest, at least in most titles.
While the GPU is the most important component in a gaming computer build, it still needs the CPU to function. If the CPU isn’t processing what’s happening in the game fast enough, your GPU’s visual output will be bottlenecked, since it will have to wait for the CPU to catch up.
So to respect compatability with my pc I have decide to get:
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 Ti OC 4GB GDDR5 128 Bit PCI-E Graphic Card (GV-N105TOC-4GD)
Price: 160$
Memory (RAM)
RAM, or Random Access Memory, is the third most important component for gaming performance. It is tied directly to your CPU, so it will actually affect your CPU’s performance, especially if you’re only running single-channel RAM. (Use dual or quad-channel whenever possible, or your effective CPU speed will plummet.)
Which one I have Decided is 8GB:
Patriot Viper Elite Series DDR4 8GB (2x4GB) 2666MHz PC4-21300 Dual Channel Kit.
Price: 50$
Memory clock speed: 2666Mhz
Storage Capacity: 8GB
Ram Type: DDR4 SDRAM
Other Components
As per need we have decided the core components that would effect highly on performance of a computer know its time to check whether we need some secondary parts like:
DVD
HDD or SDD
So as its my personal computer and I need a DVD in my computer and decide to buy:
LG Electronics Internal Super Multi Drive Optical Drives GH24NSC0B
Price: 20$
Company(Vendor): LG
And other one is SSD:
Kingston 480GB A400 SATA 3 2.5" Internal SSD SA400S37/480G - HDD Replacement for Increase Performance
Price: 60$
Company (Vendor): Kingston
Why I choose these components / SUMMARY
As I mentioned earlier I need a gaming pc so, I choose components that are good in performance I know as there are some other vendors like for processor that I choose can be bought from AMD or Asus, but according to my budget and taste I like intel.
I choose SSD not HDD because SSD gave more speed.
Ram is 8GB but it can be 16GB for more performance but as compared to my mother board and Graphics I think its fine.
So I have decide my pc components. As mentioned why I not consider parts or pc from other vendors like Apple, the reason is apple is more costly and not preferred as in case of gaming pc so I have build with my taste.
So the above build will cost me: 800$
