A personal robot could be purchased for your own use to reduce your individual costs. It could do all your gardening, cooking, cleaning, home repairs and so on. Explain why your personal income needs might change with an automated worker in your home.

Can your personal robot meet all your needs?

Solutions

Expert Solution

The personal house chores of individuals cannot be done by them alone. They require a workforce for many of the jobs to maintain their houses and manage the house chores. Like gardening, cleaning, repair works are jobs for which people hire staff and get the jobs done. A personal robot can be used for all such tasks and thus skilled workforce won't be required for any of these household jobs. This will certainly reduce the money spent on such labour. This will reduce the personal income needs for individuals as the robot can be used by them and a robot will be purchased once and kept at their homes permanently.

Though the trend of getting work done by robots instead of humans will itself reduce the earning opportunities for humans as the robots will be replaced by these skilled labours to do all the work and hence the employment opportunities for them will decrease. The wealth distribution trends will change and the changes should be such that will help in growing and stabilizing the economy.
