( 1 ) What were the critical historic events ( or policy changes ) that propelled ( changed ) the former "Communist China" into the "modern China" as we know it by now? ( From massive famine to World's #2 economy ).
Give specific examples ( events ).
China is the world's factory, Today the role of this country in this world just cannot be ignored. It has the best infrastructure in the world and its competitive advantage in almost any industry is unmatchable.
Let us discuss how it got there and also some deep insights into its political system,
1) Deng Xiaoping is the father of modern China, he has opened up the economy to investment, from that time China did not look back
2) The greatest reform is liberalization that fuelled investment and economic growth.
3) Massive domestic demand from 1.3 billion people also helped the country to move forward.
4) Global demand for electronics has made China the production hub for hi-tech goods
5) Its investments in infrastructure also helped it to fast track growth.
Analysis:
China's political system is the most backward political system, without much accountability. It does not have many systems that the rest of the world enjoys.
The judicial system is almost non-existent, Democracy does not exist, even basic human rights that we take for granted are a far cry. It even does not have real elections. so clearly their system is utterly backward.
Despite all the problems, China today is the second-largest economy in the world and continues to grow at a fast pace.
