compare U.S. immigration policy with that of Japan. How have immigration policies impacted economic growth in each country?
Ans.
In the US teh body of law which governs the immigration policy is
known as The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). INA permits the
US to grant 675000 permanent immigrants each year across many of
the categories. Whereas, according to the Japanese Ministry of
Justice, teh immigrants in Japan have steadily increased after the
Second World War period which is more than 2.23 million at the end
of 2015.
The US provides family based immigration for valuing family
unification and principles governing the immigration policies. It
allows the citizens to bring their family members to the US. At the
same time, in Japan the white collar workers and students are given
preference at the time of immigration.
The US policies related to illegal immigration had been a signature
issue of US but they have retained the issues and maintain strict
rules for the same. Whereas, the immigration policies of Japan for
illegal immigration is much more stricter than that of
US.
