Does it make sense to perform a hypothesis test if the primary goal is to obtain a confidence interval estimate? Why or why not?
No,it make sense to perform a hypothesis test if the primary goal is to obtain a confidence interval estimate....because
the primary purpose or goal is to determine whether there is enough statistical evidence in favor of a certain belief..that is hypothesis testing forms a critical part and we have to reject or accept null hypothesis on the basis of critical value and test statistic...that is our primary goal..
