1. PLANNING
Planning is essential for a teacher in infant school. Planning is future oriented. Here the teacher should focus the future of the children and need to give proper mentoring. In planning stage the teacher should think that the student will have very much influence from their class for the future. The small kids will try to imitate the teachers or their parents. So the child education is very much important. They will try to take decision on the basis of the stimulus which they getting from the teacher. The learned outcomes will use in the future for taking the correct decisions. So this is responsibility of a teacher for teaching the students I correct way with a futuristic vision. This planning function has the ability to foresee the effects of current actions in the future. This may be in long run. The teacher also should start learning daily with a correct planning. Teacher should start from the basic things of learning and gradually they should go for the advanced levels. So the student’s brain will capture the information or learning easily. So a correct planning schedule is important for a teacher especially those who are dealing with small children.
The importance of planning function is:
1. To offset uncertainty and change-Future uncertainty and change makes planning a necessity. Even when the future is certain planning is necessary as there is necessity of selecting the best way to accomplish an objective. So in order to achieve the children objectives the planning is important.

2. ORGANIZING
Organizing is another important role of a teacher. After planning the organizing is an important function of management in an organizational view point. Through a proper and systematic way only a objective can be achieved. So the organizing is also an important aspect of a teacher in childhood education. The chapters of learning should be designed I a systematic way. It should be well organized. Not only had the study related matters. But also the environment of the study place or school is also important. It is well understood that organization is not only a mechanistic structure of duties, activities and relationships, but it is as well a human organization consisting of diverse social groups. The organizational function will help the children to learn more.so the function of the management is also applicable to the teachers. Well organized learning outcome will be more than unorganized. Learning should be going through a systematic way. So the students can easily catch the ideas.

The success can be only achieved through the proper direction. So the path should be good. Here motivation, experience etc. have an important role. Direction only can be providing through the proper experienced teachers. So the children will go through how a teacher leading the class effectively. If the teachers are wrong, the students also will be wrong. So it is the duty of a teacher to see whether the direction is good or not. Those need to check it frequently for understanding any deviation from the fixed objective or learning. Here the infant teachers are dealing with the small children. So the children’s are learning the things through how the mentor reacts.
4. COTROLLING
Control means the power or authority to direct and order. Here the teacher has the power of authority to control the children for every mistake. It is their authority and role to teach the children and correct them. It also means a standard of comparison for the results of any operation or experiment. Here we refer to the meaning, “comparing operating results with plans, and taking corrective action when results deviate from plans. So control is a mechanism where someone or something is guided to follow the predetermined course. Control squires two things. First there is a clear cut and specific plan. Work is to be proceeded accordingly. Secondly, it is possible to measure the results of the acquired learning with a view to detect deviations. Then actions can be taken to correct if there is any deviation. The object of controlling is, therefore to ensure that the children’s effort is continuously directed towards the attainment of the predetermined objectives. That is leaning. Control is forward looking. It is aimed at ascertaining the deviations from the established goal as quickly as possible with a view to incorporating corrective action. So the teacher should control the students for not deviating from the path. Without proper control the leaning will be not effective.
Control mainly following three steps:-
1. Establishment of Standards.
2. Measurement of performances.
3. Correction of deviations.
So these are the major management functions that for a Teacher- In- Charge (TIC) in an infant school.
