Describe your personality traits using the Big-Five theory. Provide behavioral examples for the five dimensions (e.g., if you describe you are high on extroversion, provide an example of how you are being socially active, etc..) to substantiate your description.
On the extraversion trait, I would score somewhat (but not completely) on the lower side. Although I do enjoy meeting new people and often find myself in social gatherings, I also have a preference for solitary activities (like reading, traveling alone). I like to keep a close circle of friends and it is challenging for me to make small talk with strangers.
I would score high on agreeableness because I am very concerned about the well-being of others. Partly why I chose to study Psychology was to apply what I learn to help others out with their problems. I am attentive and take active interest in others’ interests and aims
I am not too sure how I would score on conscientiousness, perhaps in the middle. Because with my work and assignments, I am very meticulous and well planned. However, in terms of my daily schedule (like organizing my room, doing chores, taking care of my belongings) I tend to be forgetful, careless, and messy.
In terms of neuroticism, again I would say I’m in the middle but towards the higher side. I tend to experience mood swings and irritability quite often yet I am able to manage little problems and everyday stress. I am able to conceal my internal upheavals quite well.
I would score very high on openness. The most obvious behavioral manifestation for this is my love for traveling with the intent of seeking out new experiences. I also have a wide range of interests (like graphic design, playing the guitar, sketching).
