Ans. As there is a shortage of nursing in Florida, Government of Florida is focusing on the proper education and doing surveyabout the nurse. There is also an introduction to the Healthcare Workforce Research Initiative designed to serve as the organizational nucleus of healthcare occupations data to support informed decision-making by healthcare stakeholders and to facilitate research and grant proposals that support a healthier Florida. Government also review the Board of Nursing’s administration of the nursing program approval and accountability processes.

There are many obstacle in the improvement of this profession as:

i) With a very low pay and more working hours, people are not opting for this profession.

ii) Lack culture and work place environment that is enabling of good and continuously improving clinical quality because too many managers have leadership style that is authoritarian and dictatorial, and/or our physicians and governing body do not demand excellent quality.

iii) Lack enough human resources to improve quality

iv) Staff are unhappy and frustrated from bureaucracy, low pay, low praise from managers so are unwilling to improve.

Nursing is the most important profession after the doctor. The patient is more connected to the nurse rather than doctor. So, there is need to improve the nursing profession. Introducing more good colleges as well as giving quality education is the best way to encourage the course of nursing. Giving more and good opportunities to the nursing profession. Doing many healthcare programs and educate people about this profession.
