Which of the following quantities are constant for a projectile during it's flight?
Select all that are True.
a.y
b.v
c. vx
d. x
e. r
f. ay
g. vy
h. ax
Only H part will remain constant during its flight, i.e., So Answer = h
A) Y :-y will change because accleration due to gravity will be in y direction
B) V :-V will change because of acclerated motion.
C) VX:- V = Vxi + Vyj And accleration will be in Y direction so and if angle of projection is Θ then
Vx = VcosΘ i Vy = VsinΘ - A*T j where A = accleration due to gravity and T is Time
X = Vx*T =VcosΘ*T i
So V.X = V2cos2Θ*T Which is not constant
D) X :- As discussed in previous part X = VcosΘ*T which will change with time
E) R :- This changes continously because projectile motion are parabolic in nature.
F) AY:- A = -g j and Y = VsinΘ - g*T2/2
So AY = -VgsinΘ + g2T2/2 Which will change with respect to time
G) VY :- V = Vxi + Vy j and Y = VsinΘ - g*T2/2 j
VY = (VsinΘ)2 - VsinΘ*g*T2/2 which is not constant with respect to time
H) AX :- A = -g j and X = VcosΘ*T i
So AX = 0 which is constant
