There are primarily five different types of ceremonial speeches:
1. Introductory Speeches - These are a type of welcome speeches that are mainly presented to greet the audience and set the tone for the entire event.
2. Promotion, Retirement and Graduation Speeches - The nature of these ceremonies is different but the emphasis of all of them is on celebration associated with the future and the opportunities that are associated with it.
3. Award Ceremony Speeches - These are given when a speaker either gives a presentation speech to give an award to someone or an acceptance speech upon receiving an award.
4. Eulogies - These speeches highlight the accomplishments and the benevolence of a deceased person and are given during funerals.
5. Tribute Speeches - These ceremonial speeches pay tribute or express gratitude to any person, idea or an event.
