There is a new outbreak called pink ear; people who contract the disease become totally deaf in a matter of weeks. A vaccination has been created. Health officials have determined that pink ear can be prevented from spreading across the nation and becoming a pandemic issue if laws are put into place to ensure every child under the age of five is vaccinated.
Address the items below and explain how the public health policy process works. Evaluate public health policy effectiveness.
Public health policy:
A Public health policy is aimed to achieve the Public health goals. This process of public health policy is determined by various consultation, research, negotiations leading to the formation of certain plan of actions to promote public health.
Branch responsible for making a new law:
Legislative branch of Federal Government is responsible for making a new law. The law is put forwarded, structured and passed by the Congress.
Branch responsible for interpreting the laws:
Judicial branch is responsible for interpreting the laws, made by legislative branch and enforced by executive branch.
Branch responsible for carrying out the new law:
Carrying out and administering the law or public policy is the duty of Executive branch.
Branch that has more power:
All three branches of the Federal Government has the power; Legislative branch, executive branch and Judicial branch.
The Legislative branch is considered as having more power and influence than the other 2 branches. Legislative branch is responsible for creating the law which is necessary for a Country's wellness.
New law and Health care Administrators
* Health care Administrators can act as a Change agents of the society, when a new law is implementing.
* Plan and supervise the Medical services
* Plan the strategies for implementing the new heath laws for public such as vaccination.
* Necessary data collection and analysis ( Health statistics)
* they have to combine health policies, science and business.
* Manage human resources and fiscal resources in implementing the public policy.
