1. Morbidity.
This is a term which used to indicate the frequency or percentage of population get sick due to a disease in a population. It shows the consequence of a particular disease.
2. Outbreak.
This happens when the infectious disease has spread other than the place of origin. It can be considered outbreak if the disease occur in one place other than the place of first area it appeared. It should be controlled quickly at that point else it will spread easily.
3. Antigenic Drift.
These are small mutations which accumulated in the microbe which will cause a structural change such as pili or antibody binding sites. This can cause the microbe to spread through the partially immune population.
4. Endemic.
Endemic is the term used for the diseases which occurs naturally in particular geographic location. Malarial infections in certain area is an example.
5. Select Agent.
Select agent are bio agents which can pose a threat to society. These bio agents such as viruses, bacteria etc can be used for bioterrorism.
6. Zoonosis.
This refers to a disease which can be transferred from animals to humans. Here racon bite gave rabies to human.
