It is generally assumed that most people who are blind or deaf
would prefer to be sighted or be able to hear. Imagine you have
lost a sense of vision or hearing. How would your life be
different? For this, write about the advantages of not having sight
or hearing.
If you had to eliminate one of your body's sensory systems (other
than sight or hearing), which one would you choose to eliminate?
Why? (Remember, we have more than 5 senses.)
And, to be slightly less negative, what about the flip side? If you
could choose one sense to enhance, what sense would that be (like a
superpower)?
The advantages of not having sight or hearing:-
Better understanding of body language.
Being able to watch tv shows and movies from around the world where captions are available.
resourceful and able to learn things that others might find difficult.
Can Be a Better Listener.
Can Find Peace and Quiet.
If i could enhance one sense that would be my sense of Smell.
Humans may be able to smell over 1 trillion scents, according to researchers. They do this with the olfactory cleft, which is found on the roof of the nasal cavity, next to the "smelling" part of the brain, the olfactory bulb and fossa. Nerve endings in the olfactory cleft transmit smells to the brain, according to the American Rhinologic Society.
A sense to recognise which smell belonged to whom and can smell a person's scent from miles away can help to avoid a lot of unnecessary situations, also can help in other ways such as- recognising loved one's scent and knowing where they have been to, avoiding situations of being harassed and other unforeseen and unwanted situations.
