Do you think corporations should have the same rights and responsibilities as individual citizens do? As an entity whose primary goal is to maximize its value for its shareholders should a corporation care about social concerns? In other words, should corporate managers take into account social interests in addition to their shareholders’ interests when making business decisions?
Yes corporation should consider social interest also while taking decision as corporation are running in any country with the support of people and government. Without support of people no corporation or any business cannot run and make profits. Corporations should know that they should not only consider for the benefit of their share holders and stake holders but also for the benefit for the society as there are many cases where corporations for the benefit of their business ruined public lives and also cheated the society. Corporations should understand that they are not only accountable to people who invest in them but also to the people because of whom they earn money. So corporate social responsibility should be an objective of every firm and government should also make rules.
