Solutions

Expert Solution

Answer: According to the question Here the Archimedes' Principle says that the apparent weight of an object immersed in a liquid decreases by an amount equal to the weight of the volume of the liquid that it displaces. Since 1 mL of water has a mass almost exactly equal to 1g, if the object is immersed in water, the difference between the two masses (in grams) will equal (almost exactly) the volume (in mL) of the object weighed. Knowing the mass and the volume of an object allows us to calculate the density.

Here , M1 [ initial mass [ = 8 g

M2 mass of bolt = 2.67 * 2 = 5.34 g

Hence the density of m2 - m1 = 0.2 g per ml .

Hence it is all about the Archimedes’ Method.

1] Here we have to note that 1 lb = 0.453592 Kg

hence , 143 lb = 143 * 0.453592 kg = 64.8637 Kg

2]  I think a penny weighs about 1 gram..

3] rice is approx 1 cm long .

4] At birth the skeleton weighs approximately 100 g

Hence it is all about the given question . THANK YOU :)
