1. The audience is comprised of the people coming from different backgorunds, and use of animation can help them to understand the content of the presentation in a better way.
2. The subject matter of the presentation is such that it is essential to add animations and transitions.
3. The content is monotonous and the presentation is too long,
so the animation is needed to keep the audience attentive and
engaged.
Three incidences when the animations or transitions may not be appropriate in a business presentation,
1. It is a short presentation comprising mostly of facts and data, and it doesn't need animations.
2. The presentation is being given to government / regulatory agencies and need to be formal in nature.
3. The subject matter has serious overtone, such as a project in a war torn or flood affected region, in which most audience would find the use of animations offensive.
