Patient safety is the most prior thing to be considered in a hospital.

Some of the safety measures like the following had to be taken care

  • Prevention of fall( skid proof floor, handle bar, side rails)
  • Prevention of central line associated blooinfe infection( hanwashing, Dressing)
  • Health educate the patient about use of blood thinners
  • Prevent hospital re- admission after discharge immediately
  • Shift times for medical residents and nurses should be made in such a way tare not much are much stressed
  • Build good rapid response team

These all can be managed according to the settings ( infrastructure of the hospital), different nurses( ICU nurse, ward nurse , emergency department nurse, nurse supervisor, nurse manager, infection control nurse, nursing director and nursing superintendent). The different facilities available in hospital should be taken care ( X Ray, department, ultrasound department, operation theatre, emergency department,ICU ) in all these areas appropriate intervention to be followed

Interventions like simple handwashing to prevent cross infection among patients to be followed

Restriction of any extra member in the hospital

Appropriate order carried when transferring patient to OT and any procedure

Taking consent after brief explanation in patients own language

Maintenance of strict record (EHR) to avoid any mistake happening

Easy accessibility of record by EHR

Medication error to be avoided

The practice of all these makes an evidence in the nursing
