identify four approaches that can be used in obtaining input and feedback from consultation, and also discuss two skills taught for facilitating consultation.
There are a lot of approaches out there which can be used in obtaining input and feedback from consultation. Some of the more famous ones are as follows:
a) Campaigns: This is generally used to reach a wider audience where various techniques are used to inform the public and take feedback from them.
b) Surveys: This method is used when a particular population is to be targeted. It can be done in a variety of ways including face-to-face, mobile etc.
c) Workshops: These are also popularly used as an approach to consultation as it brings together a wide variety of people with common interests.
d) User Panels: These panels invite feedback on the quality of services provided by them.
The two skills taught for facilitating consultation are:
1. Preparing a Meeting: This is the initial and the most important skill required for facilitating consultation. It involves knowing your audience, asking the right questions and designing the consultation method in such a manner which engages and invites feedback from the target population.
2. Running a Meeting: After preparation comes running the meeting. This includes keeping the target population interested by creating an inclusive envioronment, ensuring proper timetable for the meetinng and also evaluating the outcomes.
