DIfferences between 5
state model and gersicks puntuated equilibrium model
- Gersick’s model suggests the 5-stage model may be
unrealistic.
- Gersick proposes that groups do not necessarily
progress linearly from one step to another
- no predetermined sequence
- alternate between periods of inertia and bursts of
energy as work groups develop.
- This contradicts the tuckmans model
