1) Write up your own opinion about the reason you would choose this topic.
2) Write a conclusion about "how immigrants are often poorer than native-born people", and focus on the immigration aspect of Canada as well. Also, economy, sociological impacts can be also included in this conclusion. (paragraph, be specific).
3) Provide references by doing APA or MLA format.

Answer 1:
Immigration is permanent movement of people to a new country to live there. Immigration has become an important topic to study due to its increasing nature at the global level. Now a day people come to a new country to live there permanently due to various social and economic reasons etc. it affects the economy of both the countries as well as the socio-economic life of immigrants.
Answer 2:
The immigrants are often poorer than native –born people :
Native –born people are already settled there, they have jobs, wealth and a social relationship with other people but the immigrants are coming from another country so they don’t have any wealth there, if they don’t have work than they have to search for it, they don’t have any social relationship, so they have to start a fresh life there. As the immigrants don’t have any economic base there, they are often poor than native –people.
With its emerging growth of Canada at global level, it has become a desirable destination of immigrants. The immigration rate has been continuously increasing to Canada due to which Canada has become a multicultural country. Skilled labours, investors etc. from all over the world have smooth pathway to Canada. Every year large number of refugees comes to Canada from neighboring countries due to its high quality of life and economic growth. Though immigration has strengthened the labour power of Canadian economy and has increased investments which positively affect the Canadian economy but immigration is also creating so many challenges for Canada such as employment issue, social and cultural difference etc.
Immigration affects the economy conditions of the country by various ways. If skilled labour comes than it increases productivity but if unskilled labours immigrate than it increases problem of unemployment. Immigration also increase economic burden as country has to provide them basic necessities such as food, shelter, education, health services etc.
Immigration also affects the country sociological, sometimes by increasing social differences leading to disputes and sometimes by uniting different social groups which increases unity and peace in the society.
So we can conclude that immigration has an important impact on the social and economic conditions of the country, it can be positive or negative but it is in our (country) hands that how effective policies we make to get only positive impacts from immigration.
