Billboard refers to any large outdoor board for displaying advertisement. Beginning towards the first question :

1. Location - It plays a crucial role in the success of the product or any other services. Location of the hoarding helps to impact all the direct audience which are directly viewing it in some or the other way. According to my opinion outdoor advertisement basically gives me an overall picture about any particular product (featured in the ad). Advertisement should be interesting and clear in order to transfer the message to the audience in the right manner. There is a direct impact on large number of audience if the advertisement is being located at any prime location. Hoarding on the top of the building may not be too effective as many people may miss the event to have a look at the ad at the right time. Anything which is directly displayed to the audience and is able to grab the attention for a moment of time can be a positive factor of any ad.

2. Transit advertisement - According to me advertisement on buses and trains are much effective as it is the daily commuting way and no one can avoid to see the advertisement. While travelling people are much eager to view any kind of new activity which is going in and around. It is one of the most successful way of advertisement as everyone commutes from one place to other at some or the other time so message gets transfer to large number of audience.

3. Attention, Interest, Desire, Action (A.I.D.A.) - According to me some points are very essential for any advertisement to grab the attention :

a. Clear and understanding - It should be precise and clear in transmitting the information to me in a positive clear manner.

b. Meaningful and useful - Product or service advertisement should have a genuine meaning and a usefulness to me.

If any billboard grabs the attention it is very important to me to check whether the product or service being displayed in the advertisement would really be helpful or not. Billboard may carry any product or service but according to my requirement I can clarify my requirement according to my priority. If the advertisement matches my priority then it is a positive part from advertisement. Anything which is displayed in the billboard is up-to my satisfaction and requirement it would surely convert my thought into purchasing. According to me billboard generally plays with the psychological behaviour of the individual. Before any advertisement to be displayed there is number of survey which are carried out to understand the choice and liking of the audience where the billboard will be displayed.

In short any billboard which can convert thought into liking will surely end up into purchasing.
