Answer is 3,client with fever.
Lets analyse all these situations.
1.slightly bleeding gums are usually the first or only sign of infection. Due to chemotherapy the platelets count is reduced, that result in bleeding gums. Since there is a slight bleeding, the nurse should attend the fever patient first.
2.nausea and vomiting occiring because of certain drugs used in chemotherapy.
3.elevated body temperature: fever during the chemotherapy is considered as a medical emergency. Fever is the only sign that the patient have an infection. And it can be life threatening.
Chemotherapy often results in reduced WBC count and causes neutropenic fever.
As the patient immune system is weakened, infections should be treated before they cause greater complications.
4.diarrhea and mouth sore
Chemotherapy can damage the cells lining the mouth, throat and GI tract. Which results in mouthsores and diarrhea.
A modification in the diet pattern helps to relieve these problems.
