Solutions

Expert Solution

As a human resources director of a 5 star hotel, I would take the following steps to create employee engagement and to safeguard the workplace from the pandemic COVID-19.

1. for the work from home employees:

I would encourage work with easy reporting and help the employees take care of the accounting, customers relationship management effective, without overburdening them with heavy tasks. I would ask them to stay on the system to deal with their activities on a scheduled time, without any need to approach office or any other place.

2. for unpaid employees:

I advise the management to arrange payments for unpaid employees, and provide them flexibility to work. With financial support for the necessary goods and supplies, they can be motivated to stay engaged with their work and to stay protected from the pandemic.

3.for active/working employees:

First of all, I ensure that the workplace is well protected, and each employee follow the instructions for staying safe. I will order the management to consider hygienic issues, and to allow employees to work on individual basis without any team approach. It is important that these employees deal with customers by making arrangements in the hotel, where customers can one by one take orders to their home, and won't allow any sit and eat service. This will help the people to get food and also to stay protective. I will also instruct the management to provide benefits and incentives to them for their services by risking lives. Thus, motivating them to stay engaged with Their work.
