1. Norepinephrine:-
It is a naturally occurring chemical in the body that acts as both
a stress hormone and neurotransmitter.
ROLES OF NOREPINEPHRINE:-
(A) IN BODY:- norepinephrine affects the way the brain pays
attention and responds to events. -Increase heart rate
-Trigger the release of glucose into the blood
-?Increase blood flow to muscles
(B) IN BRAIN:- As a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, norepinephrine increases alertness and arousal, and speeds reaction time.

2. Problems resulted from imbalance of Norepinephrine:-
(A) Low level of
norepinephrine may lead to (ADHD) attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder, depression and hypotension.
?(B) High level of
norepinephrine may lead to
?-High blood pressure
?- headache
?- profuse sweating
?-heart palpitation
?- anxiety and
nervousness
?-pallor
?- nausea, vomiting and
constipation
3. Illicit drugs affecting Norepinephrine:-
-Methamphetamine
-Amphetamine
-?ADHD medications (Ritalin, Adderall)
-?Cocaine
