Assignment 4: Documented Essay (Arguing to Mediate) (1200 words plus a Works Cited page) ''SHOULD ATHLETES USE STEROIDS IN BASEBALL" The main purpose of essays that argue to mediate is to help readers understand a disagreement over an issue and then offer a solution that appeals to all parties of the controversy. Your goal, therefore, will be to present in an intelligible and interesting manner the main arguments of the opposing sides of an issue and then mediate between them. The essay should: 1-have a clearly defined and explained issue; 2-be organized in an interesting and easy-to-follow manner; 3-include an appropriate amount of information; 4-be fair to both sides in representing their arguments; 5-be documented according to MLA rules.

Steroids are a huge class of chemicals that are bioreactive in nature causing scandls in the baseball. A number of players have been found to be involved in alleged usage of these chemicals to enhance their performance. These stroids helpful in building muscles in body. These steroids have been banned in most of the sports including baseball as illigal drugs enhancing the performance of players. Though the steroid usage was banned since 1991, Major league baseball is reportedly on the verge of the largest drug bust in sports history.

Major benefit of steroids is that

- They allow player to recover from workouts much more quickly, meaning you can train harder and more frequently.

- steroid is that they allow rehab injuries more quickly, and came at closer to full strength.

When it comes to economic benefits, I argue for this matter. They are right, taking steroids to get you to the next level seems like a rational decision. Even for a great player, steroids can help you get even better and stay there longer.

Now, as far as asking why don't they just work out? They do. The thing is, when we are talking about professional athletics, we talking about a group of people who all work hard and are all at or near the peak of physical condition. When everyone is giving 100%, if you want to separate yourself from the pack, you need to give 110%, and steroids let you do that.

The reasons why the Major base ball players use this anabolic steroids is because they have so much pressure on them to hit home runs, get on base, and entertain. To help them cope with their pressure.

, They turn to anabolic steroids because of fast gains and positive impacts players experience after treatment.

Another side of argument regarding this matter is. ..players have started cheating by using steroids to help them play stroger and better. They are in league where you have to be the best at what you do to play, and if your using drugs to cheat your way in, then it ruins the ethics of the game of baseball.

Today's players are bigger and stronger than the baseball heroes of yesterday because of use of anabolic androgenic steroids. But this drugs are unsafe to there health and it create unequalities.
