1. For years campaigners have been protesting against the use of drug ,and initiating programs to prevent young people from engaging themselves in using drugs .Drug dependence is a severe crisis in the society and people have been raising voice against it.When one drug is banned another drug arises with supreme velocityand brings adverse effects to its users.About 20% of people who uses drugs are not really addictive to it ,but merely uses drugs to seek pleasure. While others use it to escape from the clutches of lifes problems,as a temporary relief from the depression.Often it happens that, when we try to detain these people from using the drugs, maybe (they might be using a less harmed one) we are actually forcing them to chose another variety of drug which might be more harmful than the current one.It is almost impossible for this group to stop a particular drug ,because they consider it as the only reason why they are continuing life.Maybe they had to suffer from tragedies that is impossible for them to recover,so they use drugs as a source of alleviating the pain they are experiencing in life.So when we shout for drug prevention efforts ,we must also think about the minority group, who will eventually divert to other drugs which could deteriorate their health and become addicts.
2. Yes,Young people can be easily mislead ,as they are in a stage where they give more trust to the people whom they believe. So when official sources publishes it should be based on factual knowledge and after conducting enough research on the subject.Otherwise in the future young people will not account for any information provided by the official authorities, eventhough how genuine the content be!
