1. ANS : D ( GIVE HER A PAPER BAG TO BREATH INTO) RATIONALE: TO TREAT HYPERVENTILLATION SYNDROME due to PANIC ATTACK. When there is a lose of certain amount of CO2, some body tissues start to malfunction like1) numbness in lips, fingers and toes 2)muscles of the hands and feet begin to cramp. So, the idea of rebreathing the air exhales make to inhale more CO2 and helps quickly to add the CO2 back to the bloodstreams. A) oropharyngeal airway (OPA) Is inserted only in unconscious patients to maintain patient's airway by preventing the tongue from covering the epiglottis. B) Bag valve mask is used when there is a medical emergencies or when the patients is not breathing. C) Non-rebreather mask is used to deliver oxygen. But the symptoms is due o low CO2. 2. DYSPNEA - shortness of breath CRACKLES SOUND - soft, high-pitched,discontinuous popping sounds during inspiration caused by delayed reopening of airways. ANS: A (PULMONARY EDEMA) It is the abnormal accumulation of fluid in lung tissue and in the alveolar space. Crackles sound can be heard during inspiration due to accumulation of fluids in the lungs and also shows symptoms of dyspnea (due to fluid accumulation) ,hunger, cyanosis, blood-tinged secretions, and even confused. B) Esophageal varices - is the disease condition where the blood flow in to the liver obstructed causing portal hypertension. Bleeding is the main symptom showed due to increased pressure. C) Pulmonary embolism - is the obstruction of pulmonary artery by a thrombus. Dyspnea and cough occurs but no crackles sound can be heard.
