What is the % concentration (m/v) of a solution prepared by dissolving 10.0g of NaOH in enough water to make 225mL of solution?

Solutions

Expert Solution

10.0g of NaOH is dissolved in 225 mL of the solution

So the percentage concentration of the solution = ( mass of the solute(NaOH)) / Volume of the solution ) x100

                                                                     = (10.0 g / 225 mL ) x 100

                                                                    = 4.44 %

Therefore the % concentration (m/v) is 4.44%
