There are various hazards which are likely to encounter in the histopathology laboratory like chemical hazards like by cleansing agents, gaseous agents and disinfectants, physical and biological hazards.
a. There are various personal protective equipments like protective gears like the masks, protectives for eye, gown as well as gloves.
b. Specimen reception in the pathology laboratory is the very first point where the sample/specimens are recieved for the analysis. The staffs at the reception offer the all possible supports to the biomedical /clinical or the pathology personals in the laboratory, while prepring the samples along with the proper patient 's informations. Staff at the reception also helps in maintenance of the patients information, date of the collection of the sample and the date of the sample reception.
c. In case of the bony biopsy the clinicians draw the sample from the bone marrow using the long needle to track any abnormality in the blood, which may lead to the carcinoms like lymphoma, leukemia as well as multiple myelomas which can travel throughout the bone marrow.
