Answer for Q1:
Which analysis method be
used?
This is a quantitative research.
Data Collection: Behavioural research goes well
with Decriptive data collection.
Sampling Technique: Multi-stage sampling,
Descriptive.
Analysis: Regression and Independent Sample
t-test may be used. Simple methods like - Means and Standard
Deviation can also be used. Correlational Statistics can be used
for better assessment.
Reasoning:
- To understand work-life balance, one must first understand
work-life imbalance (Shankar and Bhatnagar, 2010).
- This research topic includes variables like - Stress level,
family background, psychological status, nature of work, value
system etc. which are qualitative.
- Other variables are quantitative - sex, number of respondents,
age group, remuneration etc.
- This research is based on number of respondents and therefore,
it is Quantitative.
- To satisfy above requirements, Descriptive data collection may
help.
- This data can be procured from any method - Questionnaire,
Interview, Telephonic, email etc.
- Sampling - Multi-stage sampling (in case if you want
gender-based study differently).Descriptive sampling will help in
assessing the distribution of scrores amongst the the variables
amongst the population.
- Correlational Stats will help assess the relationship between
variables like well-being, satisfaction, conflict etc. Peasron's
Product Movement Correlation can also be used as a sub-type.
Answer for Q2:
How to compute data into
Excel for an Empirical Research?
- Collect the data as mentioned above (using any of the above
method).
- Clearly mention the data heads - Work-life balance, Conflict,
Satiscfaction, etc. These are variables. This is based on your
study method. You have to decide on these heads.
- Insert data into cells in Excel under appropriate heads.
- Use formula to calculate.
- You have to do statistical analysis using the values you
calculated just now.
