What are the Advantage and disadvantage of NCOA: Center for Healthy Aging ( 300 words)
National Council On Aging (NCOA) is the first charitable organization in the U.S. that would provide a national voice for older Americans and act as their advocates in dealing with service providers and policymakers. It was founded in 1950 and it's headquarters in Washington. NCOA brings together various organizations, businesses, and governmental organizations to work toward securing jobs, benefits, health, independent living, and active living among older Americans.
This organization is having many advantages as well as drawbacks . It's positive sides include - NCOA is a national voice for older Americans—especially those who are vulnerable and disadvantaged—and the community organizations that serve?them. It brings together nonprofit organizations, businesses and government to develop creative solutions that improve the lives?of all older adults. NCOA works with thousands of organizations across the country to help seniors find jobs and benefits, improve their health, live independently and remain active in their communities.
It's drawbacks include - as it is a large organizations, it requires huge funding to functioning properly. Also needs large number of staffs to provide care and support to the elderly.
Although these all cons are there, The National Council On Aging is working satisfactorily now.
