what factors need to be considered when choosing a location for the following businesses:
(a) fast-food outlet
(b) dentist’s surgery
(c) agricultural machinery supplier
1)For a fast-food outlet, the location must be at a place where there are lots of people on the street such as a road junction or a marketplace. We can also consider that most of the target segment for fast food restaurants are college students. Hence, a good place for a fast-food restaurant would be a location nearby to a college.
2)Dentist surgery- Dentist's clinic should be nearby to residential locations. Many of the tooth pains happen at odd time. Hence it would be feasible for a dentist to keep his clinic nearby to housing colonies, apartments etc.
3)Agriculture Machinery supplier - The best location for agriculture machinery supplier would be nearby the interstate highways where the target market such as farmers often commute for supplies and deliveries. The target market is often rural areas, therefore having a location off the interstate ensures that these people have visibility of the store. These machines also require demo space. hence more space is needed for the store.
