1- Please provide an example of reasoning by analogy. State the four factors to be considered and apply those to your example?
2-Provide and example of ennumerative logic. Evaluate the example according to the factors to be considered in evaluating ennumerative reasoning.?
1.
The analogy refers to the making similarity between two non-similar things. Analogy reasoning is based on the analogy.
Analogy statement is a representation of the analogical reasoning for showing similarities.
For example:
Elementary partials are similar to the solar system because the neutron is like the sun and electron are like planets that revolve around the neutrons as planets revolve around the sun.
Factors that affect analogy reasoning is validity, soundness, and type of argument like deductive or inductive reasoning.
2.
Enumerative induction is a type of inductive reasoning in order to show the generalization of one group to the entire group. Entire group also is known as the target group and observed group is known as the sample group.
For example, If observes that there are 100 parrots and every parrot is green. The observer might put a universal generalization and say that all parrots are green.
Factors that affect analogy reasoning is validity, soundness, and type of argument like deductive or inductive reasoning.
