Reasoning by Analogy
Reasoning by Analogy refers to comparison of two things which are similar in sturcuture and by using those similarities we can reach into a new conclusion.Reasoning by Analogy helps to understand a new concept. Basically this is the way to convince someone by the using comparison.
According to a psychologist, Reasoning by Analogy is the way to make understand others. The use of analogical resoning is kind of using Precedent. Not only that Analogical reasoning is the fundamental way to understand the human thoughts and thinking.
Application of Analogical Reasoning
Evolution of Analogies
In theoritcal approach of Analogy, Analogy is the similarity of functioning and sometimes similarity of structures. In evolution of the Analogy,Analogus structures was having a tend to became similar in the appearence. This process was also called by Convergence. According to reseachers, Analogy is the result of Convergent Evolution. Two similar things is a similar problem. So we can conclude that evolution can shape both of them in the same way. This kind of structural similarity is the result of analogies.
As example
If someone's hair is black as the night, analogical result will be ''considering her hair is the night''. This is an example of Analogies. Because here we concluding a conclusion by the similarities of structure. These kind of similarities can lead to an ultimate Conclusion.
