Transactional leaders are those leader who values order and structure in the organization. These leadership style is based on exchange, the leaders rewards to their employee if they performed well and punish employees if they dont perform well. The transactional leader evaluate the performance of their subordinate on regular time interval. Transactional leader have ability to achieve short-term goals quickly, set clear vision to their subordinate, deliver accurate results, encourage productivity.
An Real life example of transactional leader is Bill Gates. Bill Gates was born in 1955 and he started his own company Microsoft in 1975. Now a days Bill gates is one of the richest person in the world. As a transactional leaders, he has ability to achieve short term goals quickly. He used to visit the production team and ask questions from them until he was satisfied that the team were on right track and achieve their goals timely. As a transactional leader he will always rewards to their employees if they meet their performance guidelines.
