Hey, Here's your answer, hope you will like it.

We know that the main usages of HCI are to have usable, safe, and functional systems.

Usability: It is one of the key concepts in HCI. as we are concerned to make systems easy to learn and use.

Now, let's discuss 5 factors to measure usability.

1). Effectiveness:

  • It is about the accuracy that we should have high accuracy in which users can perform their goals.
  • The product which is performing should be able to support the user.
  • It is good to use simpler and clear language for communication to increase the probability of understanding.

2). Efficiency:

  • we should not be confused between efficiency and effectiveness, both are quite different and our ultimate goal is to achieve both.
  • As we know, effectiveness is all about accuracy while efficiency is all about the speed that how fast we can finish the task.
  • Here, we have seen the number of steps needed to achieve the goal and if we can reduce them by anyhow, then we can have an efficient system.

3). Engagement:

  • This is the case we want to achieve, in which the user is totally satisfied with the product.
  • Yes, aesthetics and UI elements are very important here.
  • Engagement is not only about good looking, but it is the satisfaction of user where user can perform its task and achieve the goal.

4). Error Tolerance:

  • In HCI, we generally refer error tolerance as when we encounter an error in the system then the users should be able to quickly recover from it and get back the respective work.
  • Human errors are natural we can't stop them we can make a system in which we can easily handle the errors and can easily recover from it.
  • Tolerance simply refers to the power to make the system in which we can achieve the goals easily by easily handling the difficulties.

5). Ease of Learning:

  • Sometimes it is really hard for them to understand and stick to product regularly.
  • So if we can make a product that can easily be used by the user then the interaction will be really easy when they use it.
  • It is also beneficial when we are updating many new features in the product.
