Refer to “Stress test your strategy- The 7 questions to ask”.
Do you believe that these seven strategy questions are more than enough to stress test the strategy of an organization or as a future strategist, would you like to consider other additional questions which would also facilitate in assessing the strategy of a company?
What would be those questions?
Provide the justification of your point of view in this regard.
I believe that the 7 strategy question is not enough to stress test the strategy of an organization or as a future strategist. The additional question that I would like to consider include aspects of ethical and strategic decision making.
The exact question that I would like to add within the stress test are as follows:
1. Does the organization consider ethical decision making as vital in comparison to the other operations?
2. Does the organization consider strategic management as equally important like other management functions?
First of all, ethical decision making is vital because it considers choosing all the alternatives in a way that will be consistent with ethical principles. It is important to mention that ethical decision making emphasizes on commitments and the willingness to do what is right irrespective of its cost.
Secondly, strategic management emphasizes the strategy monitoring, strategy implementation, strategy formation, analysis and setting goals. Therefore, strategic management helps an organization to streamline the process of strategically managing an organization to success.
