Heating system is a technique to raise temperature in required limit for controlled area.

It is the part of HVAC (Heating, ventilation, Air conditioning .

Example

1) Furnance - used in home and in industries  

   Advantage -No real advatage

Disadvantage -It require large and fixed space with ventilation for burned gases.

2) Heat pumps

Advantage-Low running cost,less maintenance

Disadvantage-Starting cost very high, difficult to install .

3) Gas fired heaters : used in homes in heater.

Advantage -it is cheap and easy method .

Disadvantage -It is not safe some time gas leakage occur and it is so dangerous .

4) Electric space heater - used in home as heater.

Advantage -Simple and no  combustion takes place.

Disadvantage-It is not good for where the electricity charges are high

Above all example are convection method to transfer heat in controlled space, it may be free flow or forced flow using blower.
