Benefits of consolidated clinical document(CCDA) messaging framework----

1) it can be used in various applications.

2) by the help of CCDA it is possible to describe patient's history in one single document.

3) It is designed as it can be read by both human as well as machines.

4) it is legally authenticated.

Challenges of consolidated clinical document (CCDA)--

1) CCDA is not much compatible with HL7 V2( health level seven verson 2).

2) it can easily fill up with lines of eXtensible markup language and which files size is upto 400 megabytes.

3) if incomplete data is given then it is become difficult to make a valid document.(CCDA).

4) the validation methods doesn't match with each other (different client ).

5) complexity can be present means it can be difficult to understand if clearly not documented.

7) if inconsistent terminology or coding issue is seen then it become difficult as there can be overlapping of terms with multiple terminology platforms like ICD-10,CPT, LOINC.
